We talk about her Sport’s Science degree, using imagery on race day, and her thoughts on a female specific bike frame.

When Jason Quade of Abbey Bike Tools manufactured his first tool he had no intentions on creating one of the most south-after tool brands in the cycling world.

To this day, Jason puts quality over price point while staying on top of innovations in the bike component market. Many of the tools he’s invented are in the boxes of pro mechanics and are making their way into amateur boxes as well. Much like episode one with Rodeo Adventure Labs, it’s about brand DNA and sticking to the company's roots.

We talked with Jamie Parkhill form Wera North America in this episode of the podcast. While not a household brand in the cycling industry, Wera’s tools are found in many bike mechanics tool boxes.

The real nugget of this interview is the way Were sees themselves. It’s not as a tool company. Find out how Wera has broken ground with new customers and what makes them tick.

We’ve got a few of their tools in the Bicycle Media toolbox including the new Bike Set 3: https://products.wera.de/en/tools_for_bicycles_and_e-bikes_bicycle_set_3.html

It was great to chat with custom frame builder Dale Marchand of Rollingdale Cycles. His hand-made frames are highly sought-after and his attention to details and ultra sonic clean titanium welds are world-class.

In this episode, Dale discussed his building teachers and the benefits of a belt-driven pinion system over an exposed derailleur system. All this and more in this episode of the Bicycle Media Podcast.

Bicycle Media has toured his awesome shop in St. Albert and can attest to his attention to detail and design. He builds wheels too!

Dale is busy building bikes instead of websites, so you can visit him on social media at: https://www.facebook.com/rollingdalecycles/ and https://www.instagram.com/rollingdalecycles/.

Welcome to inaugural episode of The Bicycle Media Podcast, the podcast dedicated to the health of the cycling industry.

Host Cody Osborne, Owner of Bicycle Media, speaks with Stephen Fitzgerald, the Founder of Rodeo Adventure Labs out of Denver, Colorado. Rodeo started as a race team in 2014, that grew into a bike company dedicated to having fun and building versatile bikes. They have always stayed true to their DNA. That so important as more and more companies aim to cater to wider audiences. While they don’t mass produce bikes or seek industry reviews, their carbon and steel bikes were on trails before ‘Gravel’ was what it is today. There are lots of knowledge nuggets to take away from Stephen’s story, so we hope you’ll enjoy it as much as we did.
